Hello, friends! Happy Tuesday! A lot of fun stuff has been happening in between LA and Spokane this past week, from wine tasting to Passover to some GREAT eats, and I wanted to give you a peek into my lately.
For starters, my team went wine tasting at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars, which is set in a beautiful Italian villa on top of a hill in Spokane. While the views were fantastic, the wine was sub-par. We did learn some good wine tasting tricks, and had some great team bonding however :).
Snack plate alongside the wine tasting included dried and fresh fruits, cheese and crackers, nuts, and chocolate!
I kicked off the weekend with some awesome eats! And a particularly great workout on Saturday morning led by my favorite personal trainer over at Hungry and Fit.
Lunch with Dad at The Courtyard Kitchen, and super cute new place on Montana Ave in Santa Monica. We both had the Trio Salad with had a scoop of vegetable quinoa salad, greens, and tuna salad.
Oatmeal with PB and blueberries, plus french press coffee and strawberries on the side.
So worth the hour and fifteen minutes wait to get sushi at Sugarfish with the parents! Actually the best sushi I have ever had, and this place never disappoints.
And a lovely Passover seder with great family friends. Dani California Cooks brought the flourless desserts! Cindy, our seder host, made delicious fava bean soup and Marrakesh Chicken with figs, pecans, and apricots. We also had bitter greens salad, and enjoy great conversation on modern day plagues and rousing renditions of the Passover story.
The weekend ended with me and my parents moving all of their furniture back into their house after they had their floors re-done. It was a workout in itself, and we were completely wiped out. Two major highlights of the day included lunch with my grandfather and skype sessions with the little brother. The dog was particularly unhelpful throughout the move, and just seemed to get in the way whenever we were lifting a particularly heavy item. She’s just so cute though no?
